Business Objects has changed it's licensing rules regarding the component Auditing in BOXIr2. Auditing was previously only available as an add-on for the Professional version. Now (as of march 2007) it is included without any need of an add-on license!

Business Objects has finally updated their web site with information for Query and Analysis and the new tool Voyager (http://www.businessobjects.com/products/queryanalysis/default.asp).
This is kind of old news as we have been waiting for this some time now. Business Objects released End of Life Notice the 29th of march (http://www.businessobjects.com/pdf/products/queryanalysis/olap_intelligence_eol.pdf) for OlapI (Crystal Analysis).
I guess that we will get similar information about DeskI in a near future... Or?
Voyager will be included in the Productivity Pack that was released together with Service Pack 2.
Voyager will be a zero footprint software running in InfoView, just like WebI, although it will only be available in a JSP installation.
Voyager will be of the same content type group as WebI. This means that a company can run both WebI documents and Voyager documents in a BOE Professional installation. Such a scenario was not available with OlapI as it was in a different content type.
